Velez de Benaudalla
Only one hour from Malaga International Airport, one and half hours to Almeria Airport, and only 30 minutes to Granada Airport, we're located in the small traditional Spanish village of Velez de Benaudalla.
Velez is nestled between three mountain ranges- Sierra Nevada to the north, Sierra Lujar to the east and the Sierra Los Guájares to the west. We are also only a short spin of 10 kilometres to the coast of the Costa Tropical to the south.
In the winter, the village benefits from the relative position of the Sierra Nevada. These mountains protect the area from the cold winds of the north and we also benefit from the warm winds of the south. In the event that the weather takes a turn in the mountains we head straight to the coast and the warm Costa Tropical.
The village itself is authentic and typically Spanish. You will find genuine tapas bars, traditional restaurants typical of the Andalucian region, supermarkets, banks, pharmacy, doctors and takeaway foods. The bakery even makes daily deliveries around the village!
Triathletes can enjoy the newly constructed municipal swimming pool and swimming is also possible in the nearby reservoir created by the newly constructed Rules Dam.
